Assistant’s job requires constant development

Olena Moshenets, people’s deputy and Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Anti-Corruption Policy, shared her advice with students of the Political Education Center.
The topic of the lecture was “How to become an assistant to a people’s deputy. The way to the desired position, if you have no personal contact with a people’s deputy”.
Olena Moshenets spoke about the ways of becoming an assistant-consultant of a people’s deputy, what channels can be used to offer one’s help to a people’s deputy as an assistant-consultant, as well as on ways of getting a parliamentarian interested in your own work and proposals.
“From the outside it may appear that the job of an assistant consultant involves regular visiting of the session hall and committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, meeting new people and presence among the highest officials of the state. However very few realize that this job also means the absence of stable working schedule, multitasking, universality, and stressful situations. We regularly have to deal with large amounts of work and get deep into the legislative efforts. Therefore this profession requires thorough and comprehensive preparation,” Olena Moshenets noted.
The people’s deputy also answered numerous questions posed by students of the Political Education Center.
